Shadab Khan celebrates wicket against South Africia - ICC

SYDNEY: Pakistan was right at the top against South Africa while defending 186 runs when the rain came in to spoil cricket action.

Pakistan bowlers reduced the Proteas to 69-4 in nine overs to get on top of the game. However, rain arrived to frustrate in-form Pakistan bowlers who set eyes on a second consecutive victory in T20 World Cup 2022.

Pakistan fans became curious soon after rain poured at Sydney Cricket Ground. But, the situation is under the control of green shirts.

As per the D/L method, South Africa needed to score 85 runs in nine overs. Currently, they are 69-4 in nine overs, which means they are 15 runs short.

If the rain doesn't stop, Pakistan will win the match by 15 runs.
