Miller, De Kock return to Barbados Royals

The South African left-handed duo of Quinton de Kock and David Miller have returned to the Barbados Royals side for the 2024 edition of the Caribbean Premier League, the franchise announced on Friday. Miller had led the side to the top of the points table in the 2022 season, however the franchise has retained Rovman Powell as its skipper for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Royals have released the foreign trio of Rassie van der Dussen, Donovan Fereria and Roelof van der Merwe. Maheesh Theekshana, Naveen ul Haq and Keshav Maharaj will be the other foreigners for the upcoming season.

While Royals have retained Rahkeem Cornwall, Alick Athanaze and Kevin Wickham for this year, along with Nyeem Young and Rivaldo Clarke, Ramon Simmonds and Obed McCoy have also returned to the side. With 14 players confirmed, they will have three spots to fill at the draft in July.

Royals had finished fifth on the points table. They will begin their campaign this season against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on September 1.
